**READ-ME for "A Good Beginning" version 1.0.0
           By Nikki "SupaNik" Jeffery

Thanks for downloading my rather humble scenario. It was a month or two after the initial release of BoA that I decided to make a scenario, and set about undertaking a mammoth job of writing my first epic - a scenario entitled "The Demon Stone". Progress on that scenario was slow, and I eventually lost faith, so I decided to release a smaller scenario, the result of which is sitting on your hard drive right now. Before you begin, however, there are a few things worth noting about "A Good Beginning"...

---About the scenario---

This scenario is dangerously close to being "A Perfect Forest". This, I assure you, is entirely incidental. Stareye, the author of "A Perfect Forest" helped me a lot during the planning stages of this scenario, and many of my ideas become caught up in his suggestions. Just to be clear though, this was never meant to be "A Perfect Forest", and the similarities only struck me as I lay the finishing touches to it.

---Important Stuff---

All of the text files, and images, in the scenario are folder are essential for the scenario to function. Do not delete these!

---Acknowledgements---

Several Spiderwebbers helped me through this process, and many more doubted my ability to release something. So, for the following people in particular, I offer my sincerest gratitude...

Firstly, to TM, for starting to get me to think about a small scenario a long time ago, and for offering advice, and support, from the offset.

To *I (Stareye), who helped me from the very beginning, turning my ideas into a workable scenario.

To Jumpin' Salmon, for offering me sound advice, and for making the end of my scenario far more interesting.

To Luz Piazuelo, who very kindly made me some beautiful graphics.

To Ash Lael, whose advice made me sort out several details in my scenario, and was the bane of generic adventurers on Bluebird Island!

And, I also offer my gratitude to everyone who took the time to offer advice throughout the production phases, either through Email, or through the Spidweb Forums.

---Beta Testers---

These magnificant people helped turn what was an awfully buggy, and typo-ridden scenario into one worth playing:

Of special importance is Dikiyoba, corrector of typos and various bugs. Your (very) comprehensive report helped me shape the scenario much more than anybody else. More dialogue was added, just for you, and the dreaded apostrophe typos were finally squashed! Thank you!

TM, you deserve a mention for the "asphole" comment alone. Furthermore, because of you, the party can now have their very own "Vlad". Thank you!

Jumpin' Salmon, bane of my life throughout the testing process, you, YOU, deserve a mention for unwavering stubborness when pointing out that the way Hollie gave information was bad. And, because of you, the scenario works a lot better because of it.

Niemand, thank you for converting my Windows graphics into something the Mac-ites could use, and thus make it possible for others to test.

Ephesos, and The Lurker also have my most heartfelt gratitude for taking time out from their other, more important, projects (Designing for BoX and watching the World Cup spring to mind). Thanks guys!

---Graphics and Scripts---

All grpahics are available at the Louvre, except for:

G502 - Taken from the beginning of Avernum
G503 - Shade mage by me.
G505 - Portal by Luz

All scripts are credited individually.

---Known Bugs/Issues---

In Fort Bluebird, looking at Ivan shows this in the display area:

Guard
.
Wooden floor

There is no way around this.

Also, in order to advance the scenario, it is important that you enter Hollie's room in Fort Orchid. Merely talking to her will not be enough.
